 Important Eligibility Conditions 

Candidates applying for IOCL Bongaigaon Apprentice Recruitment 2026 should carefully note the following:

• Candidates must have passed the prescribed qualification by 30.09.2026.
• The prescribed qualification must be obtained through regular full-time study.
• Candidates with higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or equivalent are not eligible.
• Candidates who have completed five years after acquiring the prescribed qualification are not eligible.
• Engineering Graduate/Diploma/Vocational Certificate holders having one year or more job experience after acquiring the qualification are not eligible.
• A candidate with B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry can apply for only one of Code 101 or Code 103.
• Candidates applying for more than one Trade/Discipline will have their applications summarily rejected.

 IOCL Bongaigaon Apprentice Selection Process 2026 

There will be No Written Test for this recruitment.

Selection will be made on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination, with candidates arranged in descending order of merit. Aggregate marks of all subjects and all years/semesters will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time.

 Selection Process 

Merit List → Document Verification → Pre-Engagement Medical Examination → Offer of Engagement

In case of a tie in qualifying marks, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with higher Matriculation marks will be considered.

 IOCL Apprentice Stipend 2026

• No HRA or company accommodation will be provided.
• General Leave: 32 days, at 8 days per quarter during apprenticeship, including medical grounds.
• Casual Leave: 12 days per calendar year on pro-rata basis.
• Apprentices will be covered under suitable Accident Insurance Coverage.
• Applicable holidays of the establishment will be available to apprentices.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification according to their position in the merit list and the number of available seats.

Candidates must produce original documents along with self-attested copies, including:

1. Matriculation/Class 10 certificate for date of birth.
2. Class XII marksheet.
3. Semester-wise/year-wise Graduation or Diploma marksheets.
4. Graduation/Diploma certificate.
5. CGPA/OGPA conversion certificate, wherever applicable.
6. SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/EWS certificate, wherever applicable.
7. NATS/NAPS registration details/printout.
8. Required affidavit as per Annexure-A.
9. Other documents/certificates specified by IOCL.

 Pre-Engagement Medical Examination 

Selected candidates must satisfy the prescribed physical fitness requirements under the Apprentices Act and applicable rules.

Only candidates declared fit in the pre-engagement medical examination will be considered for engagement as apprentices.

 How to Apply for IOCL Bongaigaon Apprentice Recruitment 2026 

Candidates must complete both Step I and Step II. Completing only one step will result in an invalid application.

Step 1: Register and Apply through NAPS/NATS

For Code 101 & 103:

Candidates have to register on the NAPS portal and apply for the relevant apprenticeship opportunity.

For Code 107:

Candidates have to register on the NATS/Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) portal and apply for the IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery opportunity.

Bongaigaon Refinery Establishment IDs

Candidates must ensure that their personal, educational, category and aggregate percentage details are correctly updated in their respective NAPS/NATS profile.

Step 2: Submit Additional Details

After applying through the relevant NAPS/NATS portal, candidates must also submit the additional details through the Microsoft Forms link provided on the IOCL website.

The Microsoft Forms submission window is:
