SSUHS Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admission 2026 – Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has officially released the admission notification for the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Course Admission 2026 in various institutes of Assam. Eligible candidates can submit their online application through the official SSUHS website from 18 June 2026 to 30 June 2026. The entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted on 26 July 2026.

Candidates who have completed General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply online for admission into the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Course offered by institutes across Assam.

 Eligibility Criteria – SSUHS Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admission 2026 

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

 Educational Qualification 

✔ Must be a citizen of India.

✔ Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination recognized by the University.

✔ Must possess a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) qualification.

✔ Must be registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.

✔ Candidates who completed 10+1 before 1986 are also eligible.

 Medical Fitness 

Candidates must be medically fit for admission into the course.

 Married Candidates 

Married candidates are eligible for admission.

 Special Eligibility for Male Nurses 

Male nurses trained before implementation of the integrated nursing course must provide evidence of approved training in any one of the following areas:

• Operation Theatre Techniques
• Ophthalmic Nursing
• Leprosy Nursing
• TB Nursing
• Psychiatric Nursing
• Neurological & Neuro Surgical Nursing
• Community Health Nursing
• Cancer Nursing
• Orthopedic Nursing

 Entrance Examination Details 

 Merit List Preparation 

The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the entrance examination.

In case of a tie:

1. Higher marks in GNM Final Examination.
2. Higher marks in HSLC or equivalent examination.

 Reservation Policy 

Reservation of seats shall be as per the norms of the concerned regulatory authorities.

 Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC 

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories require:

• Minimum 40% marks in three core subjects.
• General category candidates require 45%.

 Reservation for PwD Candidates 

• 5% reservation for eligible PwD candidates.
• Applicable for locomotor disability ranging from 40% to 50%.
• Upper age limit relaxation of 5 years.

 Admit Card Details 

Admit cards will be available online from 18 July 2026 through the SSUHS application portal.

Candidates should safely preserve their Application Number and Password for future login and admit card download.

 Application Fee 

The prescribed entrance examination fee must be paid online through the application portal.

Note: Examination fee is exempted for PwD (Divyang) candidates having disability of 40% or above.
